Management and Quality Assurance

The factors shown in the schematic above are essential for managing the growth of the layer birds. To improve the quality of the birds and eggs produced as well as better manage the layers, the following aspects must be taken into account.

The raw material requirements for the project include the following:

Environment	Managing the environment surrounding the birds in terms of lighting, temperature, ventilation (air quantity and quality) and other climate related factors will be important to improve the quality of the eggs produced.
Nutrition	It is important to provide feed containing enough nutrients in the correct proportions. Water supply is also important as it plays a role in keeping the birds rehydrated.
Health	The immune status of the birds should be monitored so as to prevent and control diseases.
