Supporting Documents

The supporting documents to serve as attachments depend on the business and the person or institution you are submitting the business plan to. The list provided on this page is of a general nature but does however include all the important attachments. Listed below are supporting documents that may be attached to your business plan (where applicable). If possible, you may inquire with the institution or party you are submitting the business plan to so as to ascertain as to the required supporting documents or appendices. The required supporting documents differ from institution to institution. They may include the following:

1	Resumes of key management
2	Memorandum and articles of association
3	Founding statement - CK1 in the case of a Close Corporation Provide copy of CK2 where applicable
4	Association agreement
5	Shareholder's agreement
6	Partnership agreement
7	Banker's reference
8	Credit reference
9	The past financial statements in the case of an existing business. The past 3 years historical financial statements would be ideal
10	Valid quotations from suppliers and other related parties
11	Projected financial statements (at least 3 to 5 years)
12	Record of unrecorded income
13	Management letter from the company's auditors for the past 2 years
14	Income tax returns and tax assessments of the company for the last 2 years
15	Tax clearance certificate
16	Letters of intent
17	Certified copies of operating licenses and permits
18	Bank statements for the last month of the financial year
19	VAT return for the last 12 months and VAT receipts
20	Offers to purchase documents, where available purchase and sale agreements may also be attached
21	Agency or distribution agreements
22	Intellectual property documentation as well as other related documents - patents, licenses, copyrights, trademarks, etc
23	Sales Contracts
24	Franchise agreement
