7.2 LOCATION AND PREMISES

Most of the Bed & Breakfast operations usually take place on premises and in the case of Extravagant Luxury Bed & Breakfast everything will be happening in the facility located at Krugersdorp. Marketing and advertising activities may take different forms and are usually outside of the facility and closer to the customer sources. This may take place using different media including the internet, posters placed at strategic points, word of mouth, radio, magazines and community newspapers, etc. Details of the marketing and advertising efforts of the Bed & Breakfast are included in the Marketing Plan section of this business plan.

The location of the Bed & Breakfast boasts numerous advantages, they encompass the following:

Excellent access roads
Good telecommunications network
Ample parking
Quiet and relaxing area
Low crime rate
Nearby shopping centers and entertainment areas
Accessible using public transport and much more

7.3 MACHINERY & EQUIPMENT

The Bed & Breakfast currently has equipment and other amenities; however, it will need additional equipment subsequent to the expansions. Essentially, all other equipment deemed important in furthering the goals of the business will be acquired in due course to ensure that Extravagant Luxury Bed & Breakfast is a state-of-the-art facility.

7.4 INSURANCE

The business will follow the due process of sourcing the services of an insurance broker to cover the business against all possible liabilities that may at any instance undermine or jeopardize the success of the business. The cost implications have been factored in the financial plan.

7.5 LEGAL AND REGULATORY

The business will carry on its activities following the due process of legislation governing the industry. The owners will ensure that the business is registered for VAT and other taxes required by the law in order to be a good corporate citizen.
